How 3rd-i works

Tap once. Bring your people.

Pick your Squad and go live. Your route, camera and audio start moving together from the first step, and a Safety Agent is one tap away the whole way.

A live 3rd-i trip: the stream at the top, turn by turn navigation under it, the route on a live map, and the time left to home

Your side, and their side.

One trip, on two phones at once. Pick a moment, or just watch it play, and see what you get and what your Squad gets in the same second.

One tap and your route, camera and audio go live to the people you picked. Their phone lights up with the trip already on it.

What is actually on the screen.

Faster access when it matters. Add 3rd-i widgets to your Lock Screen, so Go Live, SOS, and Trigger for a Friend are always just a few taps away.

The other side of SOS

A trained Safety Agent, watching with you.

Safety Agents monitor your live stream, view both cameras, and reach you by call or chat. Connect one discreetly in an uncomfortable situation and a trained person sees and hears everything as it happens. If help is needed, they hand 911 your live stream, location and critical information, so responders arrive already knowing what is happening.

Emergency dispatch delivered with RapidSOS Official partner

Every feature exists to cut minutes off a response.

When something goes wrong, the distance between you and the right help is measured in minutes. Each of these closes some of that distance.

Triggering an SOS for a friend in the 3rd-i app: confirm their location, then send the SOS on their behalf

Emergency for a friend

Raise the alarm for them, from wherever you are.

Calling 911 for someone in another city means reaching the wrong dispatch center, sitting through transfers and knowledge handoffs, and describing a location you cannot see. That routinely costs 5 to 10 minutes or more. 3rd-i removes it.

  • One tap opens a group chat with your friend and a 3rd-i Safety Agent, so you can add context while help is already moving.
  • If they are live, their stream goes too. If they are not, their last known location is sent instead.
  • Routed to the right 911 center. 911 differs county to county; the alarm lands at the center that actually covers where they are, with their location already conveyed.
An iPhone Lock Screen with the three 3rd-i widgets under the clock: Go Live, SOS, and Trigger SOS for a friend

Lock Screen widgets

Two taps from the Lock Screen. Three to five seconds.

SOS, Go Live and Trigger SOS for a Friend sit directly under the clock. No unlocking, no finding an app, no menus.

  • As little as 2 taps from a locked phone to a live SOS.
  • 3 to 5 seconds from reaching for your phone to a Safety Agent seeing you.
  • All three actions are there: go live, trigger for yourself, or trigger for a friend.
Pinning the exact entrance of a building in the 3rd-i app so responders go to the right door

Location, down to the door

Within 5 to 10 feet, even where signal dies.

  • Precise indoors. Integrated positioning from our partner ELI Technology locates you within 5 to 10 feet, even in low-connectivity zones deep inside buildings.
  • The pinned entry saves critical minutes. First responders go to the right entrance the first time. The bigger the building or premises, the more that matters.
  • Digital maps carry the details that shorten a search: your room number, your floor level, and the routes, you to the safest way out and responders to you.

Critical alerts

Breaks through Do Not Disturb.

When you trigger an SOS, the emergency contacts you connected with a Safety Agent do not get a quiet banner that waits until morning. They get a critical alert that overrides silent mode and Do Not Disturb, sounds like an amber alert, and shows exactly where you are.

  • Sounds even on silent. An amber-alert-like tone that does not respect the mute switch.
  • Shows your address the moment it lands, so nobody wastes time asking where you are.

Broke through Do Not Disturb

Discreet, when loud is dangerous.

Video, audio and your live location go to a Safety Agent and 911 without your screen announcing it. In an uncomfortable situation, an agent can quietly watch and listen with you, and escalate to 911 the moment it stops being a maybe.

Warned before it reaches the news.

3rd-i uses AI to identify and verify emerging safety incidents in real time, then pushes location-based alerts, often before the information reaches traditional news channels.

For schools, only safety data is used, so students, staff and administrators stay informed about nearby threats to their campus or the surrounding community. See how automated alerts work.

Connectivity partner

The network 911 already runs on.

3rd-i alarms travel over RapidSOS, the emergency response data platform public safety agencies already use. Your stream, location and details arrive inside the systems dispatchers are watching, not in a phone call they have to transcribe.

99.7%of the U.S. population covered
21,000+public safety agencies in six countries
540M+connected devices feeding the network
150Memergencies supported each year

Free to download. Minutes are the meter.

Every plan carries Safety Agent monitoring and 911 escalation. What changes between them is how many streaming and recording minutes you get, and how many people are covered.

The minutes are the meter because the stream is the product. Location dots are free everywhere. A watched trip is not.
